Mrs. Tanya Gosline

Welcome to 2nd Grade. I am passionate about my students and their education. It began back when I was a little girl  in first grade. I had the most kind and loving teacher who inspired me to be just like her when I grew up. My hope is that my students experience the love of God through me and that they are inspired to learn by doing their best, praying for each other, serving, and honoring God in all that we accomplish this year at school and at home. For me, God used my first-grade teacher to plant the first seeds in my heart that would grow into His will for my life.

Along the way in my journey, I faced many struggles with my family, but they too were all part of God’s plan for His will in my life. During those years, I accepted Jesus as my Savior. I learned to work hard to care for myself. I  had the opportunity to teach with a team in Mexico on mission trips with Youth Unlimited Gospel Outreach. I learned to communicate without knowing words that could be understood, which prepared me to work with students who are learning English. I learned about the importance of family and how to share God’s truth by navigating the Bible in Spanish. I strive to build strong family connections in my classroom and  unity in our class family. The learning environment in my class is grounded by the word of God which is richly integrated across content areas. It is a privilege to teach the word of God at school.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I have training with Educational Therapy from the National Institute for Learning Development, training with Lind Mood Bell, and with Davis Methods for Dyslexia, which I use with all students as a regular part of learning in my classroom.

I am married, enjoy our four children, and love to spend time with my family. We enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, going to the beach, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, and walking. We have two dogs and one cat.  I pray for our children daily and for your families. As we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, I look forward to the abundance that God has to give all of our families this year as we trust in Him. Matt 6:33, Ephesians 3:20 and Proverbs 3:5-6
